Hello to All, First of all I would like to thank everyone on the very nice cards and words of encouragement on the passing of my mother Patricia O'Bryan on May 31, 2008. The cards that some of you have sent to me were wonderful. They came from the heart and I read each and every one. Thank You
My mother had expressed that she be cremated and laid to rest with her parents and sisters at Cemetery of the Holy Rood 111 Old Country Road, P.O. Box 182 Westbury, NY 11590-0182. This is the corner of Post Avenue and Old Country Road , http://www.holyroodcemetery.org/holyrood.htm
People have expressed interest in the arrangements. It has taken me a while to actually sit down and place this into writing. I found this hard to actually do this because it signifies an ending to a chapter in life. It is difficult to get any writing or phone calls done in the summertime due to the fact that I have no internet connection and there is very little phone service on the barrier island beach where I work. So here is the information that we have so far.
The Funeral Home is Flinch and Bruns, 34 Hempstead Avenue , Lynbrook , NY 11563 http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&tab=wl . The date of this will be Thursday, July 10, 2008 at 7-9 PM.
The Funeral Mass is Friday, July 11, 2008, at St. Hugh of Lincoln Roman Catholic Church, 21 East Ninth Street, Huntington Station, New York 11746 http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&tab=wl at 9 AM. The burial will follow at Holy Rood at 11:15 AM.
Lastly, I would like to thank you for ALL for your cards, condolences, wishing me well, hugs and kisses at this tough time for me. This is all part of life that each and every one of us will go through. We are only here for a short time, as a great friend once told me; we need to make the most of it, and enjoy each day to the fullest.
Beginnings are scary, endings are usually sad, but it's the middle that counts the most. Try to remember that when you find yourself at a new beginning. Just give hope a chance to float up, and it will... Peace and Love to All, G. Jay Liegey
