CPR / AED Re-certification Update

The CPR/AED classes have not been full this season. We have
given four classes at Jones Beach West Bath House and have only
two classes remaining. Those classes are at Robert Moses Field 4 on
Monday, July 7, and at Sunken Meadow West on Wednesday, July 9.
Both classes start at 7:00 pm and are expected to run for three hours.
I have done the math, and it looks like we still have over 200 lifeguards
to get re-certified! That sucks !!! The last two classes will be
packed. If you are going to the class on the 7th at Robert Moses,
bring a beach chair. We will be in the concession stand and there is
no furniture.
If you are waiting for the last class at Sunken Meadow on the 9th,
bring your patience and some bug spray. It is always hot and buggy.
Lastly, remember it is your fault that you waited so long to take the
class. It is going to be crowded, it is going be hot, and the instructors
and myself don't want to hear about how your life sucks. So just shut
up, show up on time, pay your $12 fee in cash, fill out the paperwork,
watch the video, take the written test and perform the six practice stations.
Get it done, or you will not have a job as a Jones Beach
Lifeguard Corps member after July 10th!
