Fellow Lifeguards,
As of Tuesday, June 10th, 2014, the state has decided to go back to 2012 staffing. West End II will be closed and RM 4 will become a weekend only beach. RM 3 will be a full-time facility. If you were assigned to West End II or a full-time lifeguard at RM 4 last year you must go to the draft. If you choose to go to RM 4 or Jones Beach Field I in the draft you are required to work every Saturday and Sunday. A 3rd day will be acceptable for all part-time lifeguards. If you can not make the draft being held at the West End II concession/veranda area this Saturday, June 14th, 2014 at 7:00 PM you can have another lifeguard pick your position for you.
The Beach Rep meeting will be held tomorrow, Thursday, June 12th, 2014 at 7:00 PM at the West End Boat basin. I suggest you wear long sleeve shirts and pants in case of mosquitos. In case of inclement weather the meeting will be moved the new Smorga-Bar tent area behind the Central Mall boardwalk (old JB restaurant).
