Anyone remember WEBO? The crew was formed after Field #9 washed away the Winter of 1974-75. With no Field to work the crew was moved to the West end of West End 2's lot and WEBO or West End Beach Overlook was formed. The Lieutenant was Joe Clinton, and it lasted till 1982 or 1983 when it closed. Quite a cast of characters had worked there over it's 8-9 years existance.

Al;
Thanks for the names I found a few more myself, John Stratton was Lt at East Bath in 1939 when Wilton Fernandez started there. Bob Ottoe was a Lt at the Central Mall in 1952 and Long John Bolton was there in 1951. Art Mindheim was the boatswain those two years. After Bob Ottoe left Stu Miller became the lieutenant with Art Mindheim as his boatswain still. In the early 60's Stu took the Field 1 position as Lt and the Mall crew moved over with him.
More names from the past; John Hobby Miller, Bill Houlihan who used to swim to work from Point Lookout!; Joe Bruckner, Jay Malloy, Jack Hudson, Bob "biggie" Windish, Frank Keefe, Bobby Knapp, Ray Mullane, Tom McDermott, Pump Connell, Jamie Greenie, Mark Lynch, Bob Rais, Artie Martin from Bellmore, Bob Downing, Tony Maloney, Jim McGroarty, Artie Stengel.
Jay Sweezey was the Lieutenant at Field #1 in 1952, and had been around the beach for a while. He left to move to Maryland and raise labrador retievers. Tom Tarpey and Wally LaPrairie are two more guards from the 1950's.
Hopefully we'll get more help finding names from the ealy years 40's and 30's.
