RE: Information about cards
The cards are all signed, separated, organized and sent out. Your cards should be at your shack if you work at Jones Beach and Robert Moses. All other parks have had the cards sent via inter-office mail (except Heckscher -were picked up by a lifeguard).
The cards are valid for two years. But don't get too excited, the State of New York requires every employee who needs CPR/AED certification to work, to be re-certified every year. I was having a hard time with the new online data entry system. So, I requested 2 year cards so that those who need the card for outside the State Park System employment will have extra time next summer to get the cards to your other employer.
You still need to take the re-cert classes with us next summer.
For those who have a June expiration date on your card-you can not take the classes with us next summer. Your card will expire for the State of New York before the 7/11 date that all of our cards will have next summer. You were warned many times and we asked you to take the class on a 7/11 date. Some of you did-for those who did not......YOU WERE WARNED.
The new computerized system has you listed expiring before 7/11/12 and the State will terminate your employment in late June next summer.
